Some days I’m okay.
Some days I’m really happy.
Free, light and able to soar. The day my new driver’s license came in the mail was a good day.
Yesterday, when my children and I shared pumpkin mac and cheese (thanks, Ambitious Kitchen!) at our picnic table, enjoying cool October air and giggling too much was a good day.
Sometimes I’m sad.
When I finished going through the notes, pictures, and letters from love lost and cleared their captivating energy out of my house — that was a good day. But when I picked up one piece to light my charcoal grill (what can I say? I love good drama) and saw in his scrawl, “We’ll be married for 100 years” the bitter pangs hurt my heart.
